Digging up Exploitation by the Root

It is gardening season and getting a garden ready for new plants is no small task. This year it was especially strenuous because I waited longer than normal to get into my beds and the weeds and even small trees were already growing pretty tall by the time I went to dig them out.

I know when I grab the weeds that if I don’t get a good grip and pull hard, or go underneath to make sure the roots come up, I will be dealing with it again very shortly.

As we have been doing human trafficking awareness work for almost 8 years we have not seen the decrease of human trafficking activity and I fully believe it is because we are allowing the roots to stay planted. It is easy to cut off the leaves, but acknowledging and digging up the roots is hard work that takes blood , sweat and tears.

We want to do this hard work together which is why we put together a 4 class, self guided online curriculum that helps the student to first understand human trafficking and the root causes that allow it to flourish and understand what each of our role can be in fighting to dig these things up by the roots.

OUR ONLINE CURRICULUM IS READY!

We are excited to announce the launch of this online resource! We have been developing this content over the last few years and now it is compiled in a format you can access easily from anywhere.

The Root Causes of Human Trafficking & Sexual Violence is a 4 class course with versions for individuals and groups/families. Take a deep dive into why we have trafficking and exploitation with us. Find out what you can do to fight against it. Become equipped to use your voice and influence to make an impact where you are.
